Maybe it was the suddenness of the news or maybe it was the already almost-ever-present nausea, but Wyla felt her stomach do a complete backflip and drop after Shika's announcement and it took everything in her to hold back an immediate gag as she got up from the table with a quick 'excuse me' before dashing for the bathroom.

She practically hurtled herself into the bathroom, haphazardly closing the door behind her so no one would hear her retching into the toilet.

Bix, blinked after her mother, pausing in her digging into her rice, before turning to Shika.

"What's uh internet ship?" She asked.

Blinked as Wyla disappeared, he started to stand and go after her but paused at Bix's question.

"Oh well, it's sort of like an internship? Uh basically, I'm going to go somewhere where...There are lots of other artists and they're going to teach me how to be successful and decide if they want me to work with them." Shika explained before looking to his Mom. "Could you keep an eye on Bix, for a second? I want to make sure Wyla is okay."

"Of course, go ahead." Hana waved him off.

Shika hurried down the hall and could hear her yaking in the bathroom. He gently knocked on the door.

"Wyla, are you alright? Should I come in?" He asked through the door.

Wyla could hear Shika calling for her through the door as she finished. She cleared her throat and went to flush the toilet before going to stand up.

"Yeah, you can come in." She said, her voice rough from the burning. She went over to the sink and turned it on. She cupped and filled her hands with water to swish around her mouth first before collecting water to drink and soothe her throat.

"Does that mean Shika's go away?" Bix frowned then, looking to Hana.

Shika let himself in, shutting the door behind him for some privacy.

"Are you okay?" He asked, concerned.

"Oh well, I don't really know the answer to that, sweetie. But you know, sometimes our loved ones go away for a little while but it's okay. That means the time spent together is more special." Hanna nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I'm...when did you find out about this internship thing?" Wyla asked.

"Oh...I don't want Shika to go away..." Bix said, frowning.

"I just heard back this afternoon about it." Shika answered.

"Well, let's just see what happens in the mean time...Do you like the food?" Hana asked with a smile.

"Oh...how come you never mentioned it before?" Wyla asked then.

"Yeh...food's good." Bix said, though, she seemed very unenthusiastic.

"Well I applied, months ago, before we even met. I thought they must've picked someone else." Shika explained before furrowing his brows. "I...I'm realizing that I must've blindsided you. I'm sorry, in hindsight it wasn't a good idea to tell you with everyone else." He said then, remorseful.

"No, no, no, Shika, don't be sorry. I mean...yeah, it's a little surprising, but it's a good thing, right? I'm happy for you, I am, I am." Wyla nodded reassuringly as she reached over then to cup at Shika's face. "I'm happy for you, Shika." She nodded, though she did feel a twisting in her gut.

Shika studied her face for a moment before putting his hand over hers as it rested on his cheek. "Do you want me to stay?" He asked.

"What? Shika...I mean...I don't want you to go because...well...I want to stay with you, but I don't want you to not go. This is a huge opportunity for you...I want you to go for you." Wyla insisted.

"Shika, I just want you to be happy." Wyla said, giving an insistent head bob. "I want you to do what makes you happy, what makes you feel successful. I'll be happy with that."

Shika furrowed his brows. "Will you...Do the long distance thing with me?" He asked then.
