Navrik was more or less clueless about these kind of things so he didn’t mind or even notice the scowl. He just followed Havania inside, her giant and handsome shadow.

Havania knee Navrik wasn’t super keen on being stuck in s crowd, so when she saw how busy it was, she reached behind her for his hand without a second thought and gave it a firm squeeze. She navigated then towards an empty spot at the bar and she stretched her free hand up to wave the bartender over.

“Can I order for you? Alcohol is nasty, but I bet I can find something better than Hun beer or whatever you used to drink.” She lightly teased.

“Why not? I’ll try whatever you like.” Navrik nodded happily. While he didn’t do great in crowded places, Havania was his security blanket. She made him feel safe and gave him confidence in situations that would otherwise terrify him.

Havania beamed before turning back to the bartender just in time to hold up two fingers and say, “Two Deliciouses, please!”

The bartender flushed and blinked before setting to make the drinks.

“You you drink often?” Navrik asked while they waited for their drinks.

Havania shook her head.

“I just turned twenty-one a little before...well, you know, everything happened. All of our money went to important things before.” She explained. “But I’ve gone out a couple of times with some girls from work.”

“Is a delicious, well, delicious?” He asked. “I don’t think I’ve ever had a cocktail before.” He admitted.

“I think it’s better than plain old alcohol.” Havania said, though if she was being honest she wasn’t sure if that was one hundred percent true. She’d only had a handful of experiences.

The bartender returned with the drinks and set them in front of her. As she reached for her wallet, he waved a hand at her before pointing down the bar.

“The guy in grey paid for you.” He said.

Havania wasn’t as oblivious as Navrik, she knew this game, so she looked down the bar at the man and while making eye contact, she took out her money and slapped it down on the counter.

“You can tell him I’m not interested.” She said before grabbing the drinks and handing one to Navrik. She took up his arm and scowled at the other end of the bar.

Navrik of course missed the interaction for the most part. He frowned a bit though he accepted the drink.

“I would’ve paid, if we get more I’ll get the next.” He said.

“I don’t mind. You pay for things all the time, plus this was my idea. I know I said you should wine and dine me, but maybe I should wine and dine you.” Havania said, offering a smile up at Navrik as if the exchange hadn’t happened.

“Well I appreciate it, thank you.” He smiled before offering out his hand then. “Shall we find a place to sit?”

“Lead the way.” Havania smiled and took Navrik’s hand, squeezing it as they went along.

Navrik held onto Havania’s hand, pulling her along carefully as he navigated the crowd. Eventually he found a little table with high stools that had recently been vacated.

“This should do it.” Navrik said, more to himself. He grabbed a couple napkins from the napkin dispenser on the table, giving it a quick wipe before pulling out a stool for Havania.

Havani hiked into the chair and got situated, grinning across the table at Navrik. She reached over and hurriedly pat at his hand holding his drink.

“Try it.” She insisted.

Navrik didn’t hesitate, taking an enthusiastic drink, eyes widening with surprise before pulling away from the glass.

“That’s actually really good!” He exclaimed, dabbing his mouth with the back of his hand.
