Starling tried to coo at her again, trying to pat her gently before looking to Murphey. “Thank you for checking in, maybe come back when it’s okay for her to see him?” Starling suggested.

"Of course." Murphey nodded. He went over to Cardinal's bedside then, stooping down to gently pet her cheek with his thumb before leaning down to kiss her forehead affectionately. "I'll come get you soon, alright?" He assured her.

Seamus eventually got settled in a room not far from Cardinal's and when he wasn't whimpering in pain, he was crying and asking about Cardinal much like she had for him. Just as Murphey had assured Cardinal, he promised to bring her in to see him. It took some finagling, but Murphey made good on his word and managed to wrangle up a wheel chair and a nurse to help him get Cardinal to Seamus's room.

Starling followed behind Cardinals wheelchair as she was pushed into Seamus’s room. Of course their reunion was tearful for Cardinal, she hadn’t seen herself yet but seeing Seamus laid up the way he was made her heart break. But she was grateful to have him at all. She struggled out of her chair to try to move closer to him.

Seamus had been given a substantial amount of painkillers for all his aches and pains, but despite the grogginess that came with said painkillers, he was still with it enough to let out a sputtered cry when he saw Cardinal coming into the room with his dad. She looked terrible, banged up to hell and back, but she was alive and that was all that mattered.

"Cardinal...Cardinal...I'm sorry...I'm sorry...you're okay...I'm sorry." He simpered as soon as she hobbled over towards him, Murphey acting as her support as she forced herself out of her chair.

“No I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. We’re okay though, you’re alive.” Cardinal blubbered back as she plopped in a chair at his bedside, her good hand scrambling to find his.

"We shouldn't have fought. We should have just talked, I'm sorry...I'm sorry." Seamus reached for Cardinal's hand, though his movements were a bit stiff. He gave her hand a firm squeeze. "I love you...I love you, I'm sorry." He continued to sputter.

“It’s okay, it’s alright. It’s my fault and I’m sorry, I almost lost you and I’m so sorry.” Cardinal cried, leaning forward to kiss his knuckles. “I love you, I love you.”

Seamus poised to stretch for a kiss on the lips instead, but instead gave a hiss of pain and decided to gesture for a peck instead.

After their tearful schmoozing, Cardinal was wheeled back to her room and Starling left her briefly. She was doing a coffee run for everyone and going to talk to a nurse about getting the two in the same room if possible. Cardinal was somewhat resting, feeding herself ice chips with her good hand until a Doctor appeared. He started reading off her injuries and what the projected after care was going to be before smiling somewhat.

“I’m surprised you hadn’t asked or that you’ve waited so patiently to hear. But I think you’ll be relieved to know your baby is okay.” He said.

Cardinal paused and made a face. Was her head trauma that bad or did he confuse her with another patient?

“I’m sorry? I don’t have a baby.” She replied slowly.

“Oh my god, you didn’t know?” He asked then.

“Know what...?”

“Ma’am, you’re pregnant. Your baby, or the fetus in question seems healthy from what we can tell inspire of their parents physical injuries.” He explained.

Cardinal was already having a fairly emotional go of it and had done a great deal of crying already. Between their precious miscarriage, the crash; she was feeling a multitude of emotions and began crying again.

“Uh I’m sorry. Should I tell your boyfriend or..?” He sputtered nervously.

“No. No, let me.” Cardinal sniveled as the doctor excused himself then.

Murphey had somehow managed to convince Biddy to go down to the cafeteria with him to grab something to eat after having spent all that time in the hospital, which left Seamus some time to himself after everything. He wasn't doing much in particular, mostly just resting with his eyes shut, listening to the quiet sounds of whatever television program his parents had left on when they left. It sounded like some sort of game show, maybe Family Feud?

Much against anyone’s advise, Cardinal got back up and hobbled back to Seamus’s room. To her convenience there was no one in there currently besides her fiancé. She poked her head in and looked at the tv as she entered. “Family Fued huh?” She said, still sniffling from her crying earlier.

Seamus forced his eyes open and turned his head towards the door. He smiled when he saw Cardinal.

"Aren't you supposed to be resting?" He said to her, though, he still held his hand out to her.

“I’m just a busy lady.” Cardinal forced a pained laugh as she plopped down beside him and taking his hand. “I’m sorry to wake you, but I just talked to my doctor.” She began.

"Yeah? Can't imagine he advised you gallivanting." Seamus teased as he drew idle circles with his thumb over Cardinal's hand. His eyes had slipped shut again, but mostly out of comfort. The doctors were giving him the good stuff, but he was also considerably more relaxed with Cardinal there with him.
