“I’m going to physical therapy for a reason, you know? I’m still working on my upper body so I can push myself around. Once bean is born, you can just focus on hauling them around.” Seamus chuckled, reaching over his shoulder to pat Cardinal’s hand.
In the main family area where the party was set up, there were already a few friends from the football team as well as Seamus’s parents and Cardinal’s sister. Alby hadnt shown up yet, but it was safe to assume she was rounding up all her beasties and would be there soon.

Cardinal said her hellos and got her tummy fondled before getting stolen away by her sister. Her sister hounded her to eat and eat some more, but Cardinal was quick to slip away back to Seamus.
“When’s Leon and Alby getting in?” Cardinal asked. |

Before Seamus could answer, there was a series of shrill screams and whoops coming from the front of the house. He blinked and craned his head to see as three little girls came bounding into the house at each ofher’s heels.
“Uncle Seamus, Auntie Cardinal, did you have the baby yet?” The eldest girl, little Paisley demanded as she bounded over, throwing herself at Seamus and immediately climbing up him like a tree.
“Not yet. Soon though.” Seamus chuckled, “oofing” as two other little girls launched at him as well.
“Girls, be careful! Leon, manage your creatures!” Alby clucked as she came over and picked up her youngest. She turned to Cardinal as she wrestled her daughter in her arms and smiled. “Cardinal, you look beautiful!”

Cardinal feigned a smile. “Huge you mean, and potato like.” She forced a chuckle.
“Sure, like a pregnant potato.” Leon teased with a toothy grin as he plucked up another one of his girls. |

“You’re pregnant with a mini brick house, big is part of the deal. You’re still beautiful though.” Alby said, leaning over to hug Cardinal then.
“Auntie, do we have snacks? Where’s Grandma and Grandpa?” Paisley asked, still settled in Seamus’s lap though she looked up at Cardinal and her mom.

| Leon oofed, upon being tackled by his oldest before laughing it off. “I’ll find you later, potato. I gotta go feed my kids.” He laughrd, tucking his girls under his arm and prancing off theatrically for their amusement. |

“The guests of honor finally came out of their room?” He asked Cardinal and Seamus.
